We are Carter and Sean. We grew up on this water.

Now we run boats out of Sag Harbor for people who want a great day on the East End without the runaround.

East Coast Yacht Charters is a boutique shop. That means you email one of us, not a call center. We answer fast, we quote in plain numbers, and we show up on time. If you have chartered before with a big concierge outfit, you will feel the difference right away.

How it works

Three Steps To Get On The Water

Booking a boat should not feel like buying a car. Here is how it works with us.

1

Email Us

Send a short email with your date, group size, and what kind of day you want. Sunset cruise. Bachelorette. Family swim day at the sandbar. Fishing off Montauk. We reply within two hours, usually much faster.

2

Book Your Boat

We send back a short list of boats that fit your group and your budget. Prices are all in. Captain is included on every charter because the law requires it and because we would not send you out without one. You pick, we send a simple deposit link.

3

Board And Go

Meet us at the dock in Sag Harbor or at a pickup point closer to you. We handle the boat. You handle the fun. Bring your cooler, your playlist, and your people.

Our Fleet

From 22 feet up to 122 feet.

We run boats from 22 feet up to 122 feet. That covers everything from a quick two hour rip to Shelter Island with four friends to a full day event yacht for 85 guests off Sag Harbor Bay.

Here is the short version of what we keep on the docks:

Why us

Why Local Captains Matter

There are plenty of captains who show up in the Hamptons for the summer. We are not those guys. We learned these waters as kids. We know which coves fill up by 11 am on a Saturday. We know where the bass hold in June. We know which docks let you tie up for lunch and which ones will wave you off. That local knowledge means your day flows. You are not sitting on a boat while the captain checks a chart. You are already anchored at the sandbar while other boats are still leaving the harbor.

Safety First, Always

Every charter includes a USCG licensed captain. Our fleet is fully insured. Life jackets for every guest are on board, including kid sizes. We check the marine forecast before every trip and we will call an early return or reschedule if conditions turn. No charge if we cancel for weather.

Our Response Promise

Email us and you will hear back within two hours during daylight. Most replies come inside 15 minutes. We do this ourselves. There is no bot and no booking agent in a different state. If you text at 8 am asking about a Saturday charter, you can be booked by 8:30.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book a Hamptons yacht charter?+

For peak summer Saturdays, two to four weeks out is smart. For a weekday or an off peak date, a few days is often fine. Last minute openings do happen, so it never hurts to text.

Do I need a captain for my charter?+

Yes. Every one of our boats goes out with a licensed captain, and the captain is already included in the price you see. This is a Coast Guard rule for charters, and it is also how we make sure your day stays safe and easy.

Where do we board the boat?+

Most charters board at our slip in Sag Harbor. If you are staying in East Hampton, Montauk, or Shelter Island, we can often pick you up at a closer dock. Just tell us where you are and we will work it out.

What if the weather is bad?+

If we call the trip for weather, you get a full refund or a free reschedule. Your choice. We will not send you out in unsafe conditions, and we will not hold your deposit if the ocean does not cooperate.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?+

Yes. Bring whatever you want. If you would rather not deal with a cooler, we can set up catering from local Sag Harbor and East Hampton kitchens. Just ask when you book.
